Participantweird one this…
new format hp with the nasty askolls, replaced it, due to glass damage, tested and got a7, checked connection and worked ok, cancelled and cust used it (overnight… :rolls:) and woke up to find the flat without electricity as it had taken out the fuse in the plug, and the fusebox. well she has since tried it 3-4 times and asceretained its the dw, we go back out and cant even get the thing to bloody turn on, regardless of how many fuse we had. worried shes done the board in. have replaced the suppressor as tehre were signs of melting, but that just could been the soldering in manufacture. shoddy or what…
new module doesnt make it a write off, but its expensive enough not to want to risk it blowing without finding the cause first. also any tips or common issues with these, that anyones come across? only teh second one ive been out to so far (1st was the askoll too)
thing is its not taken out the rcd, its overloading the ring, even when theres just been the dw on in the flat, the other thing is its a house converted to 2 flats, so electrics might not be great, but then again it never tripped for the first 14 months of its life…

oh theres a miele wm on the same extension lead, and for some reason the miele fuse also went at the same time as the last blown fuse of the dw… which doesnt strike me as particularly normal…

What size of clips did you use on the hoses they are very prone to leaking if they are tightened to tight or to big, i had one the other day somebody else fitted a wash pump but every time the customer used it when it filled and started to wash the water just peed into the base tripping the electric, i had to get smaller clips and a new hose working a treat now.

base completely dry, and these are new format versions with the big askolls johnny – no need to unclip hoses – just a bayo fit.
hotdog, come across this before with the b/i ones, so did have a peek, and all ok, but it wouldnt explain why the trip happened halfway through the wash, and therein about 5 mins in, rather than straight away.
almost tempted to put the knackered askoll in, charge a reduced rate callout and get her to get hotpoint to fix, i mean replace the dw!

yeh i had wondered as it was half way through the cycle, havent had a chance to get my colleague to meggar the element yet, but its not o/c and cant see how that couldn explain why it just refuses to even turn on a display now anyway. there is the usual high freq whine from the module when dw is plugged in, just no display or response from control board…
