    had arepair for a wf860 not very old its a super silent one. customer says it was a bit noisey than normal on spin, i said probs bearings going so took back to work shop. ordered rear drum. took drum out bearings looked fine as new, so put belt back on turned drum ,motor a bit noiesy,not much,got a new motor and its still not ultra silent, also put a new bearing kit in as well as they came out easy shaft good, any one had nosiey motors on these, its not loud but the customer says its louder than norm, fit the belts of the drum sounds ok

    Bearing failures on machines of this age are not common, most people that ring me with a ‘Super Silent’ always seem to add NOT before I even say anything, they are very quiet until you put a load in then the suspension and overall construction lets them down. A motor, rear drum etc. 😯 on a machine fully covered by Hotpoint for parts. :rolls:

    Most common cause of noises are loose concrete balance weights.
