Hi everybody and a very Happy New Year to you all. 😀

I`ve got a outer tub change to do next week on one of these and having never done one before,I was wondering what to expect.

It will be a rear half change and not a full tub.

I`ve always reminded customers of Hotpoint`s five year parts guarantee so have never needed to do one till now.

    Chris.

No real problems there Chris but allow youself enough time to do it properly as its the first one. The front panel comes off much like an old hotpoint so you can lift the whole tub out with motor still fitted and strip it down after. There is a special tool for removing/re fitting the suspension pins but most here probably get on without it. Would recommend fitting a new heater though and fit the belt back on before the tub is lifted into the cabinet. Take along a heap of small tie wraps as there are a lot of loose wires to tidy up.
If you have ever done a Zanussi/Elux one you will find the Hotpoint a lot easier.
