Hygena 8812 APP 2440 cooker hood extractor fan not working

Hi

We just moved into a flat in July that had the above cooker hood already installed so no idea how old. Fan worked fine but stopped working suddenly last month. Cooker hood light used to switch on and off as normal, but now stays on and only turns off when turned off at wall (light switch on cooker hood has no effect). We’ve changed the fuse in the plug but that didn’t fix it. Could it be that the fan has ceased working and needs replaced? If so, are these easy to install for a novice DIY-er like me? I understand Hygena is no longer operating and there is no support offered for this brand, so would you recommend that we buy a new cooker hood altogether? If so, any particular brand?
