ParticipantCan someone please help?
I have just fitted a new door handle, everything was working fine until a few days’s later I used a descaling dishwasher cleaner. The day afeter this my machine was not drained after cycle was finished. I turned to cold wash pressed start and after a minute it drained and then cold rinsed.
Now however after a full wash the machine will not drain, and when you turn knob to either wash or cold rinse the machine just sits thier with the light on.
If its not broke don’t touch it springs to mind.
Can anyone help

If it was badly scaled up it’s probably washed some “chunky” bits in to the drain pump by the sound of it and jammed it 🙁
Depending on how confident you are to delve in there, a pump removal and clean may solve it, otherwise, check repairs@ for an engineer. If you do decide to go in, please pull the plug :plug:

As discussed had a go, followed outlet hose back to small plasic pump at bottom. stipped out and cleaned. all going well fitted back again and ran on cold. Water leaked all over base of dishwasher. Can you confirm exactly where the washer sits on this pump, is it pushed on as far as it can go (stretching washer a little or does it sit insude the female connection ie the pipe from inside the dishwasher to the pump.
Also the pump is connected using 2 clips and a screw, the clips are ok but the screw fixing is burst so it’s not getting a great hold. Should thier also be other clips attached to the plstic mold of the dishwasher at the back of where the pump sits not just the side,
If so thier gone, so can you buy the casing that the pump fixes onto or is it an intregal part of dishwasher.
A lot to take in, sorry
Thanks for the guidance

I think at this stage you may be well placed to ask an engineer to have a look to be honest Craig 😉
Check repairs@ for one that should be able to sort this for you 😀
