Haier Chinese dishwasher. Standard fault is leakage into the base and operating the safety float switch – this will over-ride the timer control and just run the drain pump.
Unplug the machine and lean over to the right hand side with towels down and you will drain off the undertray, thus resetting the flaot switch. If you get a repetition, there will be some sort of leak, which will have to be investigated.
Does and Dont’s of Chinese dishwashers:
Do not use any form of multifunction tablet in the machine. It cannot cope with the froth, which leaks into the base. Use powder or a product like Fairy Bursts to reduce frothing.
Do not open the door after the machine has started for any reason. The water being circulated drops back into the cavity and can be enought to cause an overflow.
Do, at the first financial opportunity, replace it.

Im no expert
but i don,t agree with the no tablets , i would put it down to 1 tablet the all in and 5in 4 in and 3in 1 finish tablets or powder that are to much for the slime line dw.other makes are normally ok unless they made by finish p
is it a leak or foam ?
unplug machine
get water out of base either through black cap at bottom or tilt machine .
run machine with no tablets or powder many times see if water comes back in to machine if water does u have a leak if it don,t its a foam issue.
i find people pack the dispencer out with to much powder when they use is why i prefer tablets but just stay of the finish ones as they are very rich and foam alot, many of times i been to people that have changed to finished to due offer and problem has occoured but i know many that agree with above post allso this is only my viewMay 19, 2008 at 8:36 pm #252418Penguin45

Karv,
Let me make it very clear that the family of Chinese dishwashers manufactured by Haier and Midea have a well known, widely documented issue with multifunction dishwasher tablets and excess froth. There have been several attempts to improve the flooding problems across the various brands, with little success.Single function tablets, powders and Bursts are all low froth products and are therefore more suited to these machines.
