KeymasterHi,
I have the above dishwasher and for some reason it has stopped working. After putting it on a cycle it makes the normal humming and buzzing noises but then it doesn’t do anything else, it justs sits there forever making the same noises but the cycle dial doesn’t move.
When we open it the blades are still stationary and there doesn’t appear to be any water in it. I have checked the water supply and connections but everything seems fine.
Help? ❓
I just want to avoid an engineer call-out if it is something simple…..
If anyone has any ideas I would be most appreciative.

If it’s buzzing it may not be taking any water in. Have you checked the tap that supplies the dishwasher isn’t turned off ? It could also be the fill hose has become kinked.
Apart from that, it could be a circulation motor/pump problem which will require an engineer to diagnose correctly.

Thanks for info.
I’ve checked the supply and the hoses leading to the base of the machine and everything seems ok.
Would there be anything further I could check myself like any blocked hoses in the side access panel or anything?
Thanks.

Humming and buzzing noises? Would this be the pump noise that you’re referring to?
First thoughts here, flooded base. Switch it off, pull it out and tip it back slightly. See if any water runs out the back corners. If it does, keep it tilted slightly until it stops. Switch it on and see if it takes in water.DP

KeymasterNa Kalibre, there’s nothing else that’s easily accessible to the user to be checked in all honesty. It’s liable to need someone that knows the machine to put it right.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the help. It did turn out to be a flooded base so it’s now all working.
Nice one.
