Hygena APL 8224 doesn’t heat up

Hi can anyone help with this? I have a Hygena APL 8224/1 dishwasher no problems the last 6 years. Now when it washes it doesn’t heat up. What is the likely cause? Many thanks

This is a Brandt made dishwasher, so the most likely culprit is the safety thermostat has tripped.

There are problems with this. Firstly, the reset is inaccessible, secondly it will have tripped due to the machine underfilling. This is a very awkward one to sort out – I would seriously recommend getting some professional help. Check in Directories or Repairs@ for a UKW repairer in your area.

After some months of tedious washing up I thought I should get this sorted!

An engineer has examined the dishwasher and told me it needs a new heating element – but these seem to be hard to find. Can anybody help?

Part number for the element is 31X6062 and retails at around £29.99 excluding VAT & P+P from MFI on 0845 7959722.
