ParticipantFurther to a previous post here, I’ve just had Viv fr VC come out and look at the machine – he advises I need a new timer (timer’s not staying on fill long enough to trip pressure switch hence no heat) – anyone know if I can get one here? I’ve not seen any i the shop that speciifcally say 8223 – will the module for the 8224 fit?
Thx

Timer is p/no 31X5628, not in the shop@ facility. Email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

cjc535 wrote:OK, so further to a previous previous post, i’ve now replaced the timer – still no luck. dishwasher is not filling properly – viv diagnosed that as a timer fault which wasn;t allowing time to fill thus pressure switch not activating and heater not operating. So question now is, shd i also replace the pressure switch or is there some other cause for it not filling? At one point in the cycle the element DID get hot (or at least warm) – anyone have any ideas…? (fyi i replaced the element a few weeks back – the machine had seemed to be getting hot properly but on reflection may have been gradually deteriorating…)
Pulled it in here to keep the thread in one place – chaos will ensue other wise……..
If the heater comes on with the machine empty, the water level system must think that the machine is full. Either the switch is jammed on in the full position, or the water level system is blocked in a “full” position.
I think you need to get Viv back to re-assess what is going on here.

Participantthanks. had a chat with viv just now, he says he thinks the switch is faulty and suggests getting a new one before he comes back out; can;t see it in the shop, any idea on price?
(if this fails i think i’ll be selling it for spares and getting a new one…)
