Can someone please help? I have a Hygena APM 8521 which has served well but now on all cycles the cold water fill does not shut off and the programer does not continue. On hot wash cycle I can get the hot fill to switch off by turning the prgramer by hand. I can also get the machine to turn the drum like a wash cycle and drain and spin by turning the programer by hand. The filter was a bit clogged but now it is clear. Any ideas? I beleive there is no level switch on these models? Is there a pressure switch for the level? How does it know when the correct level is reached? Thanks in advance for any help.
On early versions, there is a moulded rubber airbell on the back plate of the drum. Later versions have it as a side hose on the hose from the drum to the filter housing. Both are prone to sludging.
Thanks for the help but has not cured it! The pipe from the filter chamber was clogged so now clear. Also I cleaned the filter chamber and also the water mixing chamber where the powder tray is. Also the small plastic deflector piece moves freely on the inlet of the pipe from the filter. I cannot see any pressure switch in this area? Any clues please? Still it over fills.
