Hygena APM8620 tumble dryer door catch broken

Having read some of the other posts it looks like this is not an unusual problem and there are spare parts for all eventualities.

I can’t shut the door on the dryer but it is still working fine. I can’t see any obvious cracks in the door and the latch is ‘floppy’. The question is how can i work out what I need – I thought I would just need a new latch? Do I need the door, the door trim, the latch guide, the latch – or all of the above? Help!!!!

Hi,

The common part is the door handle that breaks, which is HERE. It breaks and the catch isn’t pushed home correctly.

If the door is okay, but do check the mounts that hold the door handle and latch in place as they can break, it’s liable that it’s just the handle but, it’s not uncommon for the door trim to go which you can get HERE.
