Hygena Cooker Extractor Hood – App 2440

Can anyone offer advice please on why my cooker hood is not working? The lights come on but the extractor fan does not. The last time I switched it on the fan started very briefly, but didn’t get up to full speed before failing. Any help appreciated on what the likely cause is and what part would be needed. Also anything to be aware of when fitting – that’s of course if a new part is indeed required! Thanks

Probably the switch gone, very common and this is the one in that model:

It’s less common but possibly the motor, you’d have to test to know for sure, the motor is here for that hood:

It will be one or the other almost guaranteed.

look for dry joints on the switch pins that connect to circuit board, just resoldering usually cures it
