Sometimes you can turn the fan off, but most times you can’t, although you can select between speeds 1, 2, 3 & 4.
When you can’t turn it off, you can’t switch on the lights, either.

I’m hoping it’s the switch unit at the front that’s at fault, but I suspect it’s the module in the side of the chimney pipe.

    1. Please can somebody confirm which bit is most likely to be at fault?

    2. And how the dickens are you supposed to get to the module in the chimney pipe? The bottom section slides up to the top, but the top section will only move down about an inch.

    Thanks,
    Pigpen.

You can check each button on the switch at the front with your meter to rule it out but it will probably be the board on the chimney and here is where it gets to be a pain, you normal have to take the hood from the ceiling to get the cover off. take out the two screws at the top of the cover and then the 4 screws holding the hood to the ceiling bracket, 2 man job.

    Thanks, John.
I’ll have to make sure the tenant is in to give me a hand, by the looks of it!
