    Hi there,
I have a Hygena Hob AHY1120. I originally fitted one about 7 years ago. After about 5 years this failed (the control knob to the largest ring stopped turning). After a while I replaced the hob with another exactly the same. Big mistake because now after just two years I have exactly the same problem. Is there anything easy I can do about this? Is this a common fault with these hobs? If I have to replace, is there another more reliable hob with the same footprint (I don’t want to have to replace the worksurface)?
    Any help welcome.
    kind regards
    Phil

    Hi,
I presume that this is because it would need to de dismantled and I am not allowed to do that. If so, that is fine. Can you tell me if it is repairable by an engineer, or do I just cut my losses and replace it?
    Kind regards
    Phil

Yes an engineer should be able to repair this fault.

Its an easy repair, at the worst the tap only needs regreasing, have sorted this problem loads before when I used to do their warranty work with stoves.
