Hygena Hood Extractor Fan – APP2210, Serial: 079004

Just bought a house where the kitchen had already been developed but…..

The extractor fan hasnt been vented (no hole in wall or celing – the developers were muppets 🙄 ), so I was wondering whether I could change the filter and cap the outlet on the top?

I know you can do this with some hoods, but not sure about this one……

I don’t think you can, I hada a quick look at the parts list and there does not appear to be any way to put the hood into a recirculation mode which is what I think you mean there. But in my experience, recirculation mode on any hood I’ve seen is about as useful as a chocolate firegaurd IMO.

I would suggest that if there’s some way to get the hood vented then that would be the way to go as this is a double motor hood so it should be pretty reasonable if correctly vented.
