    Hello,
My built in Hygena Concorde Deluxe Oven & Grill (AHY41??) has stopped working.

The wall switch to turn the power on/off is fine as the hob is still working, but the oven does nothing when switched on (no light on the temperature indicator).
The grill: the indicator light comes on when the heat setting is moved just past ‘0’ on the dial but then on moving it to 1 or above it goes out and the element does not heat up.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers
    Dennis

Sounds like a switch problem, but could be other things.

However, to help further we’d need the full model number to look it up I’m afraid, the two missing digits.

The manual just lists the product reference as Oven & Grill: AHY41**

Do you think I’d should call an electrician?

You need to get the model number from the rating plate, manuals are notoriously inaccurate, usually cover a range of machines and can be totally wrong. We don’t trust them as a source of information usually.

Where would I find the rating plate?

At this point I’d advise you to get a professional in then Dennis as you don’t want to end up electrocuted.
