ParticipantI want to get a new door for my Hygena Turbo Deluxe built-in oven, but I cannot find the model number anywhere. I think it is fairly old, as the clock is analogue. There is a timer and a knob for all the settings. It is white.
I cannot pull the oven out or anything to try and get at the model number. I have taken a few photos of it if anyone can ID them – go to http://www.functionalfitness.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/.
Otherwise, does anyone know if Hygena oven doors are a standard size?
Thanks,
Jo

KeymasterRe: Hygena Turbo Deluxe door
There are many derivitives of hygena oven doors, they also come as seperate parts, not complete items.
The model number is on a plate 4 inches back from the front edge on the top of the roof outer panel. It won’t require removal, just pulling forward those few inches.
Can you find an ADP or APL reference on your paper work, as these were the prefix alphas before 3 or 4 digits which make up the model number.

Thanks Kevin. Unfortunately I can’t budge my oven at all, it seems to be set firmly into its surround, I’m not sure how.
I don’t have any paperwork for it as it was part of the kitchen when I bought the house, but I would guess it is at least 15-20 years old, as that is when my flat conversion was done. Maybe it would just be better to get a new oven…
Any other thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

KeymasterThere should be two or four screws in the lip securing the oven to the housing, you should see them with the door open.

Great – thanks, I found the screws no problem and was able to slide the cooker out easily.
These are the details I found:
Type – EVP 402
Model – APL 3420
Art. No – 370476Can you recommend what parts I need to replace the door in its entirety?
Thanks,
Jo

Thanks for all your useful advice on this. I’ve now decided just to clean the door with a steam cleaner. Can anyone advise on how to remove the door and take it apart for cleaning.
Thanks,
Jo
