    Hello

Thanks to kwatt for your help with my Lec Elan problems. I decided to buy an AEG S75408KG Santo from John Lewis as we need a bigger f/f anyway. It was massively reduced because of a few scratches8) . Having spent ages defrosting the Lec I wanted a frost free model. Will keep you posted. 🙂

    Hi

This may or not help, the S75498KG8 is the only one listed on the current AEG price list, I have to assume the other is now discontinued.

As for the prices who knows :con:

Err..don, this is a different model you refer to. I am talking about S75408KG8 and S75408KG..note the subtle difference! the latter is on the aeg website, butboth models seem exactly the same except for the £200 price difference..I’m just curious as to how and why

Finger trouble on keypad, post should read S75408KG8 sorry about that.

I can confirm that AEG have now discontinued the S75408KG.

I would like to know where you got your info from. On the AEG website, the S75408KG is current..I’m just wondering about the £200 difference really..both models are exactly the same.

I am at my wits end. Our ff arrived last night and today we have switched it on and the fridge part does not work! I hate all this electronic stuff..give me the white goods equivalent of analogue any day. The freezer temp is slowly going down according to the led display but the fridge is staying at 17 degrees, ie room temp. We switched it on an hour ago.

I think this is a return item (although I bought it as a clearance item..ie a few scratches) But I can see a few crubs, tiny bits of carrot etc to indicate that this is a return. Any advice please?? I feel that I am really jinxed when it comes to fridges… 🙁

If there’s food inside it then it’s a return and has been in the field.

That’s the problem with these clearance appliances, they are very often returns that have been out and, if not properly checked it’s real easy to get one that has a fault.

You’ll be happy to know that very, very few retailers or manufacturers ask us to go into warehouses or stores these days to check them. I think that some just take a punt on it.

It also sounds as if there’s a fault I’m afraid. 🙁
