Please can anyone help me. I have just returned from my apartment in Mallorca. Someone who rented it has managed to melt or crush the metal ring that goes under the little black plate on the hob . It’s the bit that fits over the spark thingy and it has ridges for the gas to escape evenly (but now about a quarter of them are crushed). Is it possible to replace this metal piece? I’ve looked on the internet but I can’t find anything like it. I suppose it would help if I knew what it was called!!!!

I would be so grateful for anyones advice. Thanks, Pollyanna

    Hi, Thanks for replying,

I brought the instruction manual back with me it has the codes
E-Nr 3EMB364B /02 and FD 8401 / 006 on a sticker on the back. I also took a photo of the broken part. It measures 9cms across.

Does this help? I do have a friend who can go into my appartment and look up any other details of the cooker that might be needed.

    Many thanks, Pollyanna :bang:

A picture would help, if you cannot post it up via imageshack or similar, send it to me via e-mail to iadom@zen.co.uk and I will post it up for you.

Balay is part of the BSH ( Bosch, Neff, Siemens etc ) group so obtaining spares should not be a problem.

In fact Balay was originally a Spanish company so I would have thought that you would be able to source parts in Spain. 😕
    Jim.
