I have been asked to rewire a Smeg range cooker as the wiring loom has burnt out, I also need to rewire a Dimplex storage heater as the wiring has burnt out, neither manufacture will sell the wiring looms as a spare part, so doesnโ€™t anyone have any ideas where I can get heat resistant cable from?
    Thanks

Re: I need to rewire a cooker and a storage heater,

That’s brave Simon, I’ve only rewired one cooker, a Belling (Nat Homecare} in about 1992 where the connector between hob and oven used to melt. Every wire was replaced, took about 5/6 hours, swore I’d never do another. Went home and expected a call next day and for about a fortnight after but I must have got it right. Phew!
    Good luck

I remember doing them, they were fun :rolls:
this is much the same on the Smeg it has a connector block that has melted, I have quoted the lady for the labour and she is happy to go ahead, (more money than sense)
