    Washer runs through the cycle.
    Drum doesn’t turn.
Belt is intact although will need replacing soon (some fluffing on one edge).

Motor is free to turn with no grinding with and without the belt.

there is power to the motor, as like a fool i touched one of the conenctors connecting to the brush holder. Got one hell of a zap.

Removed plug, belt, and unbolted the motor.
A hell of a lot of carbon dust, and the brush tips are less than 1cm each in length.

Sounds to me, novice with too much time and a screwdriver, like the brushes have worn down.

    But which ones.
A sticker that fell of the motor into the base of the machine says.

Yes, that’s the one’s, and almost certainly the problem.

As you’ve already discovered, power off with any panels removed :zap:

Is Car79 a single carbon brush, or a pair?

I bet I could plugged in, and power at the socket, but not switched on at the the machine.
But I won’t. Even that might be silly.

Well they were the right brushes but they haven’t made a stitch of difference.

Still clicks through the cycle, doesn’t spin the motor at all, Oh well, if it worked it would be a cheap fix. Time to move on. Probably need to order a new machine tomorrow.
