At the minutes that comeback out of the DASA office, I really do.

So many things taken out of context and used as a political tool to further a certain party’s own ends. Apparently the writer was at a different meeting again, maybe in an adjacent room or something.

    Classics in this installment include:

Other delegates stressed the need for flexibility in the organisation of DASA. The Association should concentrate on long-term matters. There was no need for change.

What the chuff is that all about then?

The quantity of activity on DASA’s website had been seriously affected by Chris Hayter’s illness. After the AGM, Chris Hayter should (if the Officers so wish) be able to give more of his attention to improving DASA’s electronic communications

Ehm, pardon me but when did anything happen on the DASA site?…

2002, long, long before any illness…the only illness to blame there is laziness or apathy.

DASA had no long-term contract with Prontaprint but there was reluctance to let the existing arrangements go until Scott’s team had established an alternative.

But as I recall CH said that there was no contract with Prontoprint at all!

The team had been advised that web hosting was a minefield and the upgrading of the existing DASA website should be considered further.

Factually accurate, contextually totally incorrect. 😕

As for the Network DASA bit, I note there is a few inaccuracies in there and info left out, like me stating I’d hand over the domain if asked too.

As I’m sure you’ve guessed already, I’ve just gotten the latest installment in the Chris Hayter show. 🙁

DASA Website, lack of improvement due to Chris’s illness. That tells me he is trying to control the whole show. Having a dog and barking himself.

No wonder he had a bloody stroke. The silly old bugger will kill himself as he is a control freak, and must run the whole operation himself. When that happens what will happen to DASA? Is there a contingency plan to allow for this? Answers please, if poss.

The minutes as e-mailed regards tha last meeting were rather contained shall I say, in particular where any constructive crticism was levied.

The date for the forthcoming Council Meeting was kept back I fancy, maybe they don’t like some of the new blood who are not so reticent at these meetings, therefore letting the outside world know at the 11th hour.

    Only an opinion mind.

Maybe he was hoping we would have forgotten what was discussed hence the delay.

    Re: I truly despair…

    Here’s an interesting little titbit…

CH was online tonight and the new tracking/info module, which Dave can see but no-one else can, resolved his domain as being an ARPA one. This is interesting as it is a “.edu” domain, in other words, an educational establishment which would usually be a university or the likes.

Which makes me wonder what the hell CH *actually* does do given that this was after 7pm.
