I woke up one morning and my Sharp R-555 was all dead

The caption tells the story. The oven has no display, nothing. I have checked the fuse and it s OK. The door appears to be alright. Anything esle I can try before it finds a land fill?

We cannot advise you how to proceed with this, Adrian. The cooking circuit runs at several thousand volts, and there is a high voltage capacitor inside. It’s a very dangerous place to be.

If it has been a decent machine you may be able to get it repaired at a sensible cost if you drop it off to a local repairer.
