We have a Frigidaire FR34H fridge/freezer purchased 11/96. Ice is forming in the R/H drain channel approx.50mmx12mm per 24 hours.
The drain channel is definitely not blocked checked and washed it thoroughly. Fridge temp. 8 deg. currently set on No.6 (usually 3 or 4) Freezer OK Icecream rock solid. Calls to Service dept. suggest either a blockage in oil fillter connected with the compressor or loss of coolant.
but they thought repair costs likely to to be too high. Any ideas ?as AOP we are reluctant to throw away a perfectly good appliance if it could be sorted.
