    Hi,
I have an old Iced Diamond fridge, model No RL64P, that has just stopped working today. My wife has noticed that it has been running very cold recently, regardless of the thermostat setting. I shorted it out and the compressor still runs so I’m fairly sure that the thermostat is shot. Do I need a Hotpoint 261055 or is there a suitable (cheaper) Ranco or Danfoss generic which would be suitable? 😉 We can’t be without a fridge for long so it may boil down to what I can source fastest. Any suggestions please. Beek

    Thanks again Spimps,
The stat arrived today (Good service from C & M Domestic Appliances) and I’ve just finished swapping them over. Job done. The one I stripped out was a Ranco K59. The one I put in was called by C & M a Creda 261055 which, I think, is a Hotpoint part No. but it was Ranco and yes, gandh1, it seems to be working well. 😀
