Iceland Kyoto KU 127 Upright Freezer

10 year old Iceland Kyoto KU 127 Upright Freezer

Inside the temparature -25c at the top but only -10c at the bottom and the compressor is very hot to touch.

Any suggestions as to what might be the problem? Thank you.

Hi

Fan motor or not defrosted ? Try turning off with the door left open for 24hrs then restart as normal.

Tried turning the freezer off for 24 hours but still the same, warmer at the bottom than the top

Could it be the thermostat, the temperature is controlled by the ‘FF Max Med Low’ switch outside right at the top on the front above the freezer door.

How do I get to the thermostat and what type do I need to replace it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
