I’ve received from Expert Appliance Care some replacement parts for an Iceline UF127 Upright Freezer. One of the parts is a Door Seal, to replace the one on the freezer which has split.
Having a look today, it appears that the old seal won’t just pull out to be easily replaced and I don’t want to damage the new seal or be left with a freezer full of food without any seal at all.
Can anyone help by advising the method of replacing this seal?
Nearly all refrigeration doors are manufactured with the seal “glued in” in the factory. Oddly enough though, the seal is shown as a a seperate part 😕
Is the unit under guarantee still ?
Either way, you’ll probably need a whole door to be honest 😉
Many thanks for your reply. You kind of confirmed what I suspected, that the whole door would need to be replaced.
It seems bizarre that I managed to purchase a new seal as a spare part which can’t be fitted. 😕
The existing seal has a 20mm slit in it. Any idea how derogatory it is to the efficiency of the freezer or whether there is a sealant suitable for repairing it?
I’ll see about returning the seal for refund anyway.
