Iceline Frost free not frost free !!!

Hi, we’ve got an Iceline FF47/36 FF Fridge freezer. The freezer grille at the back of the freezer compartment freezes up from time to time (large mass of ice) and the fridge compartment tends to gather ice at the back of the compartment (can be a few cm thick!) and the temperature fluctuates from the top to the bottom of the compartment – tends to freeze food -can be round about -2/3 oC. There is an obvious, small piece of ice that forms at the bottom left-hand side of the compartment, behind one of the bottom trays. The control panel circuit board has been replaced – but no change in behaviour.

Any Ideas?

It’s either a defrost or an insulation problem.

Engineer required to diagnose this one for you, try these guys:

This appliance was made by the CANDY group for iceland and has had a history for this problem for at least 7 yrs,Get the engineer to totally defrost the unit and then move the defrost sensor that is in the middle of the evaperator on the left hand side. and cabletie it to the top of the evaperator,this will normally cure this problem.

our iceline fridge is broken, does anyone know where to find the diagram of its system. the repirer can figure it out, says needs some diagram. please help!

You will need to post model number and serial number to find more help.

The system engineer will not need a diagram, otherwise he ain’t a system engineer, so is it a wiring Diagram you are after?

I very much doubt that there will be a diagram for this appliance as there is really only a PCB,fan,heater,overload,defrost sensor and the compressor that is replaceable and any engineer that knows refrigeration shouldnt need a wiring diagram for this model as the pcb isnt repairable by an unspecialised company.

We are in Australia, and apparently, the engineers here don’t have a clue what is wrong with our fridge, because they have never seen a model like this. I will post the model number and serial when i get home tonight, thanks for your replies.
