Can we make it or should we make it compulsory, I don’t know, which is why I think we should discuss it.

Does having an expiry date mean we have to go to the expense of getting new ones made each year?( when I say we I mean the WTA)
I know this means that it better controls who can get them but would maybe a 2 or 3 year card be better?
Just an idea

The thought crossed my mind but the membership runs annually so we kinda have to do it that way. 😕
That’s reason the expiry is two months after the renewal date, to allow time for the renewal and also to process the cards as, I’m guessing, that it could get a little manic at that time of the year with this. 😉
TBH it’s a bit of a pain in some ways.
As you say Barrie, it does allow for better controls to be put in place and memberships that lapse or indeed people being kicked off would only have a finite time with which to prove that they are a member. I didn’t think that some unscrupulous trader going around giving everyone a bad name for any longer would have been acceptable to everyone.
It’s sad that you have to take measures like that really, but what can you do?

What does the card have on the other side?
“The bearer of this card is a registered member of the Whitegoods Trade Association and abides by the rules and fair trade practices……etc.”October 24, 2007 at 8:11 am #230083kwatt

When I’ve done it I’ll post it. 😉
Basically a list of skillsets and a contact number for here to verify that the operative is a live member (not alive before someone gets smart ;)) for customer reassurance if it is required. Also CORGI number if applicable.
Other than that, for any other info, it’s open to suggestion so long as it can be fitted in.

There you go Martin, now you can have a go at me for the content rather than the fact it’s not there! 😆
Comments? It’s thrown open as this was only my take on it.

When do you require the photos?
Do you need the details of what products are serviced, if they are corgi etc for each individual?
Where would we need to upload or send them too?Steven

Hi Steven,
Just answered another question at the same time. 😉
Photos, anytime you like and the easiest way is just to mail them to me.
No, if you are on repairs@ then I can pull up most all I need in a few seconds for skillsets, the only thing I may need is the CORGI number and any other certification. For example, it’d be easy to add on there, NVQ Level 2 or whatever as well or a CORGI operative number.
