I have a Hygena natural gas hob (Model AHY 1120) which is about 15 years old. Although the hob says Hygena, the manual is for an Ideal hob (model APL11??). The hob is working fine but the ceramic on the ignitor terminals is gradually breaking off. This in no way affects the ignition efficiency but I am interested in replacing them before it does. Are these readily available and is it a DIY job ? Can they be replaced from the top of the hob e.g. by simply unscrewing ?
many thanks in advance.
