Identifying Bosch Classixx Dishwasher & Fault.

Hi,
Is there a hiding place for the data plate on Bosch dishwashers? I have looked in all the locations they specify on their website, I even had the panels off (whilst trying to repair) but no sign of anything. Of course it was only 3 months ago the manual got thrown out….

The ‘End’ light comes on after about 10 minutes, before any washing takes place! The drain pump runs sporadically, sometimes its stuck on, although operating the flood switch manually doesnt seem to stop this. Everytime we run it the fault seems to alter slightly. I have inspected all filters and pumps and everything seems to check out ok. It did run through a full cycle at the weekend, but has now returned to its previsou state.

Any help gratefully received. 😆

Hi

Look along the top edge of the door on the stainless steel , all info is etched onto it. You may need to wipe it to read the info.

If you open the door it`s usually stamped along the top leading edge just left of centre. The info required is the enr no 😉 .

Nos it seems to have made up its mind on the fault condition, it is cycling between charging with cold water, and then running the drain pump. It will continue to do both even if I open the door, any thoughts?

This is one of the machine which used “timed fill” rather than a pressure switch system and before the flow meter was fitted. It fills because the pcb tells it to, it is emptying on the flood protection switch (the mushroom in the base). The pcb is corrupted and is failing to switch off the valve.

This applaince DOES have the flow meter fitted – The flow meter will be the prime suspect as this is the classic flow meter failure fault symptons

The flow rate meter is connected to the mains water hose inside the appliance.

Its also worth checking to see if there is a float level switch by the filter area . There might be a small grey cover at approx the 5 o’clock position as you look at the round sump where the filter fits. Pop the cover off , if its there , and there will be a small cylindrical float insde .This can sometimes get ‘gunked’ up and stick , causing level problems – Remove and clean the float and its channel , making sure you make a note of which way up te float goes for when you re-fit it.

Thanks for the pointers,

Sent the PCB off for repair, its come back no better unfortunately! Still running the drain constantly and occasionally stopping to fill. Checked the operation of the main float and its micro switch, this seems ok, common switching from normally closed to open, float moving freely etc.

There is a flow meter on the inlet. There is something that looks like a pressure switch on the side of the sump, but no sign of any other contols on it.

Is there anything else in the drain pump circuit? Also, out of interest, there is a live and neutral supply disappearing up the water inlet conduit to a grey ‘box’ attached to the water connection, whats that??

Rich . as i posted above , it will probably be the flow meter causing the fill/drain/fill/drain prob.

The flow meter tells the machine how much water is coming into the machine . If this is faulty , it causes the machine to overfill…thus switching on the pump. Once some water has drained out , the machine will then start filling again then drain then fill.

You should try and replace the flow meter as its pennies and 99 out of a 100 will clear the fault.

The grey box is the ‘aquastop’ . Basically its the electronic water valve and safety device.

Please power off and turn mains water off before fixing

Thanks Paul, will lay my hands on one this week, but not entirely sure as the machine never ‘fills’ as such, it just puts water in for about 15 seconds, drain for 15 seconds, water in again etc.

Still, will try anything now!
