I’ve searched and searched as I’m sure this was here somewhere but I’m buggered if I can find it, anyway……..

Is there an easy way of identifying the correct pcb part numbers for any of these “evo” range, whichever make it happens to be ?

I’m fed up with getting the wrong one’s all the time, the info on Partfinder is about as much use as a handbrake on a boat frankly.

The numbers on the white case must be another way of doing it, has anyone got a cross-ref chart or any other way of making sure the correct one is ordered 1st time ?

    Dave.

Tony at EMW (01623 647537) is the whizz kid on those I think Dave, perhaps he can shed more light 😉

I had a look at their website thanks.

QER’s is even more informative regarding identifying them correctly 😉

Email me your address ( to tony@emwelec.co.uk ) and I will send you our booklet which will help you identify these boards. There are quite a few versions and of course they all use different eproms. I have spent a huge amount of time researching these boards and if you are ever near our factory in Mansfield, Notts then you are welcome to come along and see how we test these boards. We don’t just sell the boards – I try and give an idea as to why each board fails and what precautions to take before fitting another. Interestingly – only about 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the boards sent for repair to us are actually faulty. Thankfully we only charge £4+vat if no fault is found (inc return first class post !) and return the board with an A4 sheet to help you go on and find what else could be causing the fault.

I for one would be interested in that as I cannot understand how you (EMW) test such a wide range of stuff. You (EMW) do, as we have never had one problem with any timer or module.
