hi i have a 3 year old adl 348 which has stopped at an early pre wash? cycle point. the machine bleeps continually and flashes 4 times and then repeats. the base was full of water which i have drained by hand and the drain point in the bottom seems perfectly clean – i am guessing it is a blockage somewhere – can anyone help please as i cant find an online manual anywhere to at least isolate the problem – ta

look to right side of sump with the filter out. you’ll see a ciculat black mesh. is it full of grease etc. behind this mesh is a diafram and a microswitch. this will give a four flash error if its empty and filling and a two flash error if its full and draining. if it does look choked up then remove the sump water with sponge or similar then fill sump with boiling water to clear the gunge. DO NOT poke anything through the mesh.
this is the simplest repair method if not then the switch assembly may have to be removed and replaced. the water in the base may be due to overfilling or the membrane in this switch may have perished.
    hope this helps
