    Hi,
Can anybody help? The internal glass has come away from the door frame. Firstly how do i get the door off, secondly, how do i separate the outer door from the inner frame? There doesn’t appear to be any screws. Is it held together with silicone?
    Thanks
    Jim

    Hi camco
The doors are usually removable from the oven…and are held together with srcews at the base. The inner glass will need rebonding.

Door removal is described in the user manual, if you don’t have that, take a look at the Bosch website here:

    http://www.bshappliancecare.com/Bosch/Bosch_20773.html

Two excellent short videos on how to do it.

As Clive says, the door is then seperated by two screws at the base of the door.

Re: ignis akl 394 oven door

    Hi Dave and Clive,
The both of you are stars,my oven door is now dismantled and being cleaned as I type this. One further question. There is what appears to be a gasket or seal which is attached to the inner door,it looks like felt. Before I apply the silicone do I remove the gasket?Do you have any recommendations for the best type of silicone to use? 😀
    Many Thanks
    Jim

First of all Jim the seal isn’t actally a seal as such, it’s a special sealent glue.

Clean all of it off and make sure both surfaces are completely clean but don’t use silicon, you need to use a high temperature compound.

We do actually sell it in the shop here:

    Hope this helps.

Very same problem with an Indesit FE10K built in single oven. I got a little “enthusiastic” while cleaning it. (I’m renting and want to get my deposit back). I presume the same glue will do the trick for this oven too.

    cheers

    Thank Dave for the information.

Does the sealant also work for whirlpool oven inner glass rebonding? If not, do you have the one for AKP511 model inner door glass.

It’ll work an all makes in theory, it’s just a high temperature sealent resistent to grease, and all manner of other nefarious substances 😉

    Dave.
