My ignis oven akl429/wh/01 all of a sudden is not cooking evenly and on certain foods is taking twice as long to cook them

Oven element looks fine and burns bright red all the way round and the fan also appears to be fine and spinning at all times (even though it has high pitched shreek sometimes)

Am waiting for oven thermometer to be delivered to check oven temperature to test if it could be a problem with oven thermostat

But wondered if it could be anything else that I’ve not thought of ?

One of two things….either the fan is slowing significantly, the bearings are obviously shot if it makes a screeching noise, or simply the design. May ovens over the years have had issues with uneven cooking, sometimes made worse by leaving spare baking sheets on the racks…

Well tests done with oven thermometer when I set oven temp to 200 and the temperature light goes out oven thermometer is at 150!

Landlord got an oven repair guy to call me to run thru another test on fan (basically run oven for 30 mins and check fan every 5 mins to see if fan slows down – which it didn’t! )

Oven guy couldn’t think what problem could be i asked him if it could be something to do with the thermostat in the oven itself but he didn’t seem to think so ! Which I found strange cos it’s gotta be something

    Anyone got any ideas
