Set it on wash ,the pump turns on and it fills a small amount of water with the pump still running eventually the water stop light comes on.Set it on spin and again the water stop light comes on although it does spin a little.What on earth is water stop ,the customer doesnt have the manual saying what it does.

User manual is available from http://www.whirlpool.co.uk. Pop in your model number and you will be able to view or down load a copy.In this they list the water stop fault as the machine detecting a leak and stops the fill while switching pump on.

Thanks Geoff.Customer didnt wait a day! They went out and bought a new machine.Sounds like an easy repair,they shouldnt be so impatient -at least I got my callout fee.
