ParticipantModel AKF420BR/1. I need the switches for fan speed and light. I looked on my SIOS disc and found AKF420BR but no mention of the /1 version. I ordered switches 481927618054 and 481927618053 but they are the wrong ones. The old switches are mounted side by side on a small pcb and have wire terminals. The new switches do not have the pcb and have flat tag terminals. The pcb on the old switches is damaged anyway so there is no way I could unsolder/resolder even if I could drill out the holes to take the tags. Does anyone have part numbers for the correct switches?

The /1 comes up on my SIOS disk but the part numbers are the same as you got. Could it be a packing error.
The……./1 service no. is 852742015100

I’ve been out of action for a while due to bereavement. I put in a PNE with Connect but they say there are 8 versions of the hood and they need a service number. I suspect this is a very early version but the numbers have been defaced so I don’t have the service number. I actually took the old and new switches to both Connect premises (warehouse and the new Talbot Way offices) but that was a waste of time as they were extremely unhelpful 🙁

AKF420BR/1 has the switches mounted in the centre of the hood and has two switches that take terminals.
there are 8 versions of this hood and 7 of them have the same parts as you have received, The 8th version has the switch on the r/h side and is part number 481921478448, this is a lightswitch and motor switch mounted on a small pcb that you solder the wires on to, I assume this is the one you want. Model number is AKF420/GY-1 12NC 852742015120

The saga continues 👿 The switch assembly arrived today and it seems to be the correct one. It does not appear to be new though :rolls: The first thing I noticed was lots of burn holes around the base of the switches where a soldering iron has been poked in to unsolder wires from the double sided PCB. I suppose Connect had sold it previously and taken it back as a return. The customer has waited so long now that I was going to use it like that anyway but then I checked the slide switches to see if they operate properly. The multi position motor speed switch is jammed solid so there’s no way I can use the part. :bang:
Looks like that’s another thing to look out for with Connect. This was in a proper Whirlpool box but obviously not a pristine part. -
