everything goin well till last jod fitting new oven. ignis one comin out . fitting a candy. up 2 flights o stairs. wired in then push in an then. f””k its hitting gas pipe as to high at back wat a mare. do ignis whirpool do this so you have to repalce with ther make. what a joke was raging.had to take oven back cant find ignis or whirpool oven any were.. weres best place to get new whirpool stuff, would nt buy thers stuff as s”””t but hink am gona have to or get gas guy to move pipe mmmm 😳 ?

have had this problem so look for it now some ovens have a step some dont
had a customer buy a new oven and asked me to fit it all went well till i pushed the unit in the housing and hit gas pipe with 1 inch to go.

have seen ovens with dents on back where fitters used a hammer to bend oven casing around gas pipe also had a dishwasher where fitter had done the same to get around a horizontal water pipe

assume you went bleep bleep bleep under your breath as i did lol

Had this a few times of late, we stock Belling and Gorenje ovens with the “step” to get around this problem.

Portway are stockists of Ignis and Whirlpool ovens, DAD have the odd Ignis on special from time to time.

seen plenty of ovens fitted with that part cut away, assuming there are no electrical bits showing I would get out the tin snips. After all, Bosch intergrated dishwashers dont have any sides on anymore so whats the difference? tidy up the edges with some slit sleeving and make it look professional then no one will ever compalain.
