    Hope you can help, I have an Ignis hob and oven but no manual. Inside the oven it says”Ignis Type FCE56, Model AKL 827/WH.

    The largest hob at the front left will not ignite! The remaining three do though no peroblem…Can you offer advice please?

    Anybody got the manual too please?

    You can download/request the manual at http://www.whirlpool.co.uk (Ignis is a sub-brand).

    The model number is for the oven only I’m afraid, the hob will have it ‘s own (on the underside). The number begging 85???????? is the most important one 🙂

    Thanks for the web site information, any tips to get the “electrode” is that what you call them to work? and light the gas ring?

    Could be switch, could be combi igniter/switch unit – best bet is tell us the model or “85” number, then we can get the diagrams out and work out what’s fitted to you appliance 😀 .

    Yep, that’s what they are called 🙂

    It will need replacing I expect, Corgi registered engineer only (legally) required as it’s a gas appliance 😉
