    Help!
    My IKEA WHIRLPOOL DWF 417 dishwasher gets towards the end of the cycle and then beeps twice , it then makes a short churning sound and then a single beep and churns again. This then repeats indefinately. I can finish the cycle by switching to rince.

    The problem started occasionaly on the standard wash and spread to all other wash cycles over a month or so. It now does it all the time.

    The service number is 8545 856 15610.

    It’s a SMEG with a badge on the front.

    This is probably a computer problem. If there were a physical fault with the machine, it would bring up an error code for you to see when the door is opened.

    Possible causes are the solenoid coil on the dispenser, or the mains suppressor unit, or just a board failure.

    Due to the complex nature of this appliance and the rather hefty price of spares, I would suggest getting pro help on this one in order to avoid expensive mistakes.
