    Hi,

I have a DWF 417 slimline dishwasher purchased from Ikea. It’s branded Whirlpool, and the code on the label says it’s an 0845 856 15610.

Part way through any program, the machine stops with a single beep, pauses for 10 seconds, beeps once more and then what sounds like the “churning” begins again, but only for about a second before it beeps once, and the whole cycle starts again. ie, pause 10 seconds, churn beep etc.

If I open the door, the LED on whatever program I selected flashes constantly with no pauses (so no error code?) The machine does “beep” 10 times though however.

The only way I can get the dishwasher to empty is to put it onto the rinse cycle.

When the door is open, you can see water in the bottom of the unit, but I’m assuming that’s because it’s in the middle of a cycle!

I have removed and cleaned the filter, plus the casing that it sits in. I’ve also checked that the salt level is fine too.

I have searched this forum quite extensively, and it does sound like I have a fault with the computer board thingy (I don’t do big words before noon!), but I just wanted to run the fault by the experts first before either I embark on replacing the above mentioned “thingy”, or call an Engineer out.

    Cheers, Tim.

The machine is actually manufactured by SMEG and it certainly sounds like a corruption issue with the pcb.

A read of THIS will give you a fair idea of what you’re up against.
