    Hi folks this one starts drianing as usual then will fill and empty at the sasme time , it will then after 10-15 seconds bleep and flash fault 06 , if you choose another prog it will do the same except flash 7 times, Which fault do you think i should believe. ( it wont go into test mode)

    Don’t know offhand what 6 is but 7 is reed switch (search here if not familiar) and is very common, assuming it’s Whirlpool clone.

    Yes I have had reed switch fault show both 6 and 7 on whirlpools.
    Not cheap though you have to buy complete tank but sounds like your best bet .

    I take it that is the blue component on the water fill tank?

    Yes. Just gently pull out the little pcb, buy a reed switch and solder it in. RS or radionics.ie part no. 2293692. Check orientation of old one before desoldering :wink:.
