Participantcycle starts with water flowing into machine and drain pump running.Drain pump stops and continues filling, wash pump comes on and continues filling beyond normal fill level drain pump cuts in and start button flashes together with audible beeping. What controls fill level?
I repaired machine with new infill hose assembly as solenoid valve was o/c,dont know whether over fill fault was there beforehand or has been caused by solenoid going. 🙁 🙁

Water level is controlled either by air pressuer into a diaphragm switch or by a flow meter, depending on the model number……..

saw a magnetic reed switch at bottom of infill manifold with what appeared to be a plastic impellor inside the manifold.found a microswitch fitted to water operated diaphram on the side of sump approx 2″ dia.are these the items you describe 😕

Please – tell us the numbers on the label on the edge of the door……. Also, the pattern of flashing lamps (1-2-3 pause repeat, for instance).

It’s probably the flow meter in that case, if you have a read of this thread:

That’s basically the same dishwasher 🙂
Power off please if continuing yourself :zap: or check the repairs@ link below if you need pro help.

6 flashes refers to no fill which could be valve, flow meter, PCB etc….

flow meter and valves are ok.Is the fill level controlled purely by pulses from flow meter to control unit or does another device get used.the machine fills to an initial level when the wash pump comes on it continues to fill, doesn’t stop filling and then defaults with nine flashes.I should point out that at cycle start the drain pump comes on together with water. Its like the fill valve has a permanent live supply ❓

The flowmeter works in conjuction with a pressure switch.
If the flowmeter doesn’t send the correct number of pulses or the pressure switch doesn’t detect the correct amount of water in a given time the machine aborts the program.
9 flashes indicates a faulty inlet valve or pcb. (Remember that the error codes are only a guide to the likely cause of the fault).
Normally a flowmeter or pressure switch problem wouldn’t allow the machine to start washing before aborting.DP

Thankyou and all your team for your support on this one,at a time when a lot of manufacturers have abandoned Trade support its nice to know there is a lifeline when you need it.
