I own an Ikea / Whirlpool DWF 406 W. The dishwasher is actually 5 years old, got it from the previous owner, a couple of years ago.

The dishwasher stopped to work yesterday, it beeps continuously and the start led flashes two times. I don’t have any user guide / manual. I tried to find an explanation on the forum, no luck so far. I did cleaned up the filter and the filter compartment and that didn’t help.

I would appreciate any help with this issue. If anyone has the user guide for this model in a digital format (pdf / doc) please attach it here. I don’t even know how to run the test program on this dishwasher.

Thank you in advance for your help.

F2 is flood protection system activated – the base tray under the machine probably has water in it. Drain the tray to reset. If you get a repetition, find the leak…..

    Power off first.

Dear Penguin, thank you for your quick reaction. I have a newbie question: (My machine is integrated in kitchen furniture) How can I reach this tray? Is it accessible from within the machine or I have to find my way under the machine. I know it might sound ‘stupid’, but I’m not experienced in this area at all. 😳

Power off, decor door panel off (Slacken screws 2 + 4 on the door edge), remove lower front panel. Towels down, bend front edge of tray downwards and the water should run out. Mind the edges – you can shave with them.
