    Hello, our trusty Whirlpool DWF 416 stopped working last night mid-cycle. The start light is flashing 8 times, pausing, 8 times, and so on. My husband is trying to unclog the machine and I’ve checked other posts for the same problem but can’t find anything identical. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    F8. 8 Flashes. Water level failure. Sieve strongly dirty or big amount of foam inside to less water.

    make sure the sieve filter is clean, hold it up to light to look through it as it has normally got a thin greasy film on it which you won,t see at first glance.
    try that first, otherwise the pressure switch in sump usually go on these

    Thank you very much for your reply Martin. We managed to get the dishwasher working again an hour or so ago and its completed its cycle. The filter was really dirty, we’ve given it a really good clean and hopefully that is the problem solved. Thanks again.
