Hi there,
My Whirlpool DWF416W is stopping shortly after starting and giving a ‘6 flash’ error which I have learned from other posts on this excellent forum to mean no water input.
The drain pump is starting but no water flows in – I suspect that the ‘waterstop’ valve isn’t working as it is receiving 240V from the controller (WV1) but when disconnected and measured with a multimeter there appears to be an open circuit.
Does this seem plausible and can I get a replacement waterstop valve (plus associated pipes and wires) – the valve is marked as a Bitron Typ 8theta.
Many thanks,
Tom
The inlet valve is integral with the fill hose and can only be replaced as an assembly.
