IKEA / Whirlpool DWH B10 error code = 7 flashes

2 year old integrated IKEA / Whirlpool DWH B10 dishwasher. The machine gives an error code of 7 flashes, pause, 7 flashes, pause etc. accompanied by a long beep, a pause, long beep, pause etc.

Machine is connected to a hot fill (red pipe). Water inlet temp = 50 to 55 deg C.

Seems to happen at the start of most wash cycles just after the machine starts to fill. To clear the fault, I have to end the programme manually, switch off, switch back on, select the next programme (50 deg wash), press start then usually it pumps out, refills and does a perfect wash.

This does not happen all of the time. Any ideas?

I’ve checked filters, strainer, basket and spray arms. All OK and clean. I do a Finish orange dishwasher degreaser on the top wash every 6 months. Machine very well looked after.

Anybody help? Don’t fancy getting my marogolds out 😥

Flow meter failure. If it’s intermittent, it will almost certainly be a poor contact. The flow meter is under the left hand side panel – remove connector, clean, pinch and reconnect. Usually does the trick.
