ParticipantHi,
I’ve bought a new lower element for this oven, but am struggling to find a means to remove the old failed one. I’ve taken the oven out of the cabinet, removed the rear panel and can see the wires and the nut holding it in place. From there I’m stuck. At the back is just the insulating material and foil surround, so it looks like the element has to be removed through the front once the nut at the rear is undone. I’ve disassembled as much as I dare, but can find no means of getting to the element without completely taking the oven to bits. I feel it shouldn’t be that hard so reassembled and tried from the bottom. Again no luck.
Can anyone help, this is really frustrating!

I,d re-check the model number, or better still the barcode number beginning with 8

I suspect that if you move the insulation out the way all will become clear.

Tried that to some extent, but it appears to be behind the foil as well, which looks sealed. I’m assuming this foil layer shouldn’t be broken at all?

Remove screws on far left and right.Wires off. Pull out. Element may be distorted causing snagging, but it will come out 😉

Ah, got it! Took the bottom panel off, moved the insulation and found the screws holding another tray which the element sits in. Easy(ish) after that. The old element had blown apart.
Thanks for the tips
