    Code 854585615610

Doing a bit of reserch and believe it to be a Smeg unit. Not sure if it is a solenoid fault and would appricate some help.
Set unit on quick wash programme and after about 40mins it stops. You can then here a clunk from within the door area and believe and the circ motor pulses for a second. Machine will then bleep and repeat this process until you open the door. At this point it is on its 3rd fill and the water is hot. The only way to drain it away is to reset the programme and start a new programme. I suggest the dispenser as it could be at the point in the programme to add rinse aid before empty/dry cycle.Any advise on what to look for more so the problems with dispenser and modules.

If this is the one with the newer, smaller Smeg electronics unit (lots of surface mount components and a tiny chip, 5 Leds) then I’ve had it a couple of times and it’s been the board panicking on rinse aid dispense. Sometimes (usually on the older board though) it’s been the solenoid and you can test for this by putting a normal inlet valve solenoid in circuit & see if that works. It’s odd because you’d think it’d fail on detergent dispense too (it uses the same solenoid after all) but it waits until the rinse aid dispense: I think it might be a heat issue.

    Hope this helps…

    Richard.

    Thanks Richard

I will try that trick will the valve to see if that resolves it.
