Was giving two flashes. Now behaves as per thread title, water entering in 1-2 second bursts until overfill. (Did not wait for it to actually overfill but it was getting pretty high.) Removed reed sw and checked connectors, re-tried without success. Checked reed sw with magnet and test lamp – seems OK, but will try changing it anyway. No further fault codes. Any other possibles? Going back after bank holiday.

Well, with a load more help from Dave and taking his excellent advice to re-read the “Simple pcb repairs” sticky, this one is finally going again  .
As I re-installed it, I noticed it had one of those cr@p Askoll motors though. When I closed the door after opening it to check it was heating OK, the motor gave that death rattle so I advised the customer that he might be needing my help again very shortly. 🙁 for him, and :haier: for me as it’s a narrow kitchen but, oh well I guess the money will compensate me 😀 .
